Accountability is a significant biblical principle that must not be neglected. “Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). Accountability is so crucial because humans lack willpower. We especially struggle in pursuits that do not bring about immediate and tangible results. Though a devotion time can produce amazing emotional, mental, and spiritual feelings and blessings, there are times when it will feel like nothing is happening at all. It is in these times that having someone to turn to is essential.
