Jesus taught on eternal rewards more than anyone else in the Bible. Living from eternity past, Jesus understood like no other man the value of eternal rewards. He understood the importance of focusing on our eternal joy to keep us motivated and filled with hope in our present afflictions. In Christ’s greatest act, He did not merely endure the cross because that is what He was sent to Earth to do. No, He endured the cross for the joy set before Him. He recognized that His agonizing moments on the cross would produce a far greater joy that would echo throughout all eternity.
