Continued authority in the spiritual realm and demonstrations of signs and wonders are only sustained through an intimate connection with God. Apart from God, we are unable to develop any fruit that will endure. We can only release what we ourselves have. If we are not filled with the present anointing of the Spirit of God, we are unable to release any of His power in our circumstances. We cannot rely on our connection to God from previous seasons to sustain us in our current endeavors. Our authority and power in the spiritual realm increase as we strengthen our connection with God. We do not earn this power. Instead, by taking the time to regularly sit at his feet, we position ourselves to receive what God eagerly desires to give us.
