Faith is cultivated through risk. It is important that we do not take risks foolishly to prove our radicalness to God and to the world. We should only take risks when we feel prompted by the Holy Spirit. These risks must remain in line with the principles laid forth in God’s word. The faith that happens at salvation is only the start of our faith journey with God. Faith grows in the heart of a believer as they put themselves in situations where relying upon God is necessary. John Wimber, founder of the Vineyard movement, used to say “Faith is spelled R-I-S-K.”
