Acts 14:23
4 minutes | December 10, 2020
Prayer and fasting should precede most major church decisions, and appointing elders of the church certainly falls under this category. Each sub-community of the regional church is appointed not just one elder but multiple elders. Finally, these elders are to be commended to God, placing them under God’s authority instead of mere man’s influence. If you are interested in seeing how the early church appointed its leadership and how to glean wisdom from their process, check out this short teaching on Acts 14:23.
