Humility is a foundational but increasingly uncommon character trait in society. Even within the church, it is difficult to grasp the concept of humility as we are regularly faced with the idea that self-promotion and self-exaltation are required to be noticed by others. We may not use those words, but in light of our tactics to promote our message, we often find men and women of God actually promoting themselves.

The danger does not come from being known but instead lies in the attitude of one's heart who has been recognized. In this moment of recognition, there are two paths that are made available: the path of humility or the path of pride. Let's look at each of these options in greater detail, in order to get a broader picture of their reality.
