In today’s video, Tyler explores some of the different literary styles found in the bible. The eight different styles we will be covering are: Epistle/Letter, Genealogical, Historical Narrative, Law/Statutory, Parable, Poetry, Prophecy, and Proverbial/Wisdom Literature. Each of these styles is important to understand as they bring a unique perspective to the scripture texts. Knowing these styles will help you to avoid misinterpreting the Bible and can greatly increase the revelation that you receive from the Holy Spirit!
