Out of everyone who has ever existed on planet earth, Jesus had the most powerful teaching ministry. If anyone could simply use words to convict sinners and thus lead them to salvation it would be Jesus. Jesus did not rely merely on the power of His words but relied heavily on the power of God in his dealings with people. Not only did Christ operate in teaching accompanied by power, He commanded His followers to do the same. This is not optional Christianity, but is God’s design and model for us to follow. We will be most successful in our evangelistic efforts when we learn to couple the supernatural power of God with the preaching of the truth.
