By maintaining an eternal perspective, we are equipped to succeed in the monotony of daily life. This includes the burden of painful struggles and the temptations of sinful lusts. If our mind is focused on receiving the most glory, honor, pleasure, and comfort here on earth, we will easily fall into the snare of the enemy. If our mind is focused on our eternal life, we will cast aside everything that does not result in eternal rewards which will last for billions upon billions of years (literally forever).
