God has seated us with Him in heavenly places because it is going to take heaven infiltrating our natural reality for lasting transformation to take place. We approach our earthly assignment from our heavenly identity, seated with Christ in authority over our earthly circumstances. We dwell in a superior reality because we have been given access to it from the Lord. Because of His great mercy and love, He not only brought us from death to life, but He also has seated us in the heavenly places with Jesus! There is a dualistic dimension to this. Yes, we continue to function in our natural form here on the earth, but that is not the full reality of who we are. Even now we have direct access to the Father and the Spirit through Christ’s work on the cross. This is not just a cute notion but a divine reality that we must choose to embrace.
