It is never our responsibility to try and make someone be a better person. Our primary assignment is to point lost and broken people to the Savior. One of the largest blunders I have witnessed Christians make is forcing people to follow God’s word without first being infused with His Spirit. This approach will never work.

Worldly comfort is one of the greatest limiters of true revival. It is also one of the primary culprits of the saint’s eternal blessings. Satan has deceived many to believe that God’s desire for us is to have a cozy, pain-free existence. Because we believe this lie, we despise any thoughts of suffering for His name’s sake (Philippians 1:29).

The transgressions you commit and your identity in Christ are incompatible. Unfortunately, the way many of us identify ourselves with sin is simply unbiblical. Without a proper understanding of our justification (our righteous legal standing in the sight of God), we remain hindered in our personal sanctification (the ongoing process of becoming more like Christ).

The primary assignment given to every believer is to glorify Jesus by loving Him will all our being. Only out of this relationship will we bear any fruit in our own lives or in the lives of others. Keep in mind that loving God and experiencing His love is not to be thought of solely as a way to impact the world but actually as an end in itself.
